Service Description

What to Expect: When you arrive, there's ample street parking at the farm. Check in with the farmer (AJ), and you'll be given a tour of the farm to see what's growing and which flowers are blooming this time of year (with over 60 kinds of flowers growing at Flower Boy Farm & 200+ colors/varieties, there will be different blooms each week!). You'll be given the supplies you need to harvest and carry your flowers in the field, as well as taught about how to harvest these blooms yourself. Once you're equipped with your tools and the knowledge to harvest, you'll be able to explore the field at your own pace and help yourself to the many flowers that are blooming at the farm. When you're done picking your flowers, the expert florist will lead the group in a demonstration of arranging a hand-tied bouquet, explaining some fundamental design principles, advice on working with local seasonal blooms, and work individually with participants to ensure they leave with a stunning arrangement they designed themselves. Do's & Don'ts ---------------- Do: - Dress comfortably for the weather - Wear close toed shoes - Bring a vase, jar or some container to take flowers home in - Take as many pictures as you like - you're at a flower farm after all! - Expect to see nature; including birds, bees and maybe some other bugs Don't: - Bring children under 5 without clearing it with AJ ahead of time (the flowers are easy for young kiddos to damage) - Mind the occasional weed
